Robotics Journey

Explore my experiences, projects, and contributions in the world of robotics. From my early days as a student to my current role as a FIRST Technical Advisor, this page highlights the milestones and achievements that have shaped my passion for robotics.

Student Experience

Lead Programmer

September 2020 - June 2024

As the Lead Programmer for my high school ftc robotics team, I spearheaded the development of our competition robots, utilizing Java and the FTC SDK to create robust and efficient code for autonomous and teleoperated modes. I collaborated closely with my teammates to design and implement complex control systems, sensor integration, and strategic algorithms that enhanced our robot's performance in regional and state competitions. My leadership in programming not only contributed to our team's success but also fostered a culture of innovation and technical excellence within our robotics program.

Winning Alliance

My biggest breakthrough came during the 2023 season when I developed a custom PID control algorithm for our robot's drivetrain, significantly improving our autonomous navigation and precision. This innovation played a crucial role as it led me to develop custom libraries and tools that were adopted by other teams in our region, further solidifying my impact on the robotics community. With that development I started to dive more deeply into gradle and the inner workings of the FTC SDK, which eventually led to my involvement as a FIRST Technical Advisor and Robot Inspector, where I now support teams and events with my technical expertise.
